Notes on battery disposal
    
In connection with the sale of batteries or with the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we are obliged to point out the following to you:
You are legally obliged to return used batteries as end user. You can return used batteries, which we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range, free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 mass per cent lead
Cd = battery contains more than 0,002 % cadmium by mass
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent of mercury.

Special features of the sale of starter batteries

In connection with the sale of vehicle batteries, we are obliged, if you are an end user according to § 10 BattG, to charge a deposit of 7.50 euros including VAT per vehicle battery if you do not return a used vehicle battery at the time of purchase of a new vehicle battery. The deposit is not included in the purchase price and is shown next to the final price on the item.
 
If you return a used vehicle battery to us, which we carry or have carried as a new battery in our range in accordance with § 9 BattG, we are obliged to take it back free of charge and refund the deposit amount within the framework of the statutory provisions.
Insofar as we have issued a deposit mark in accordance with § 10 para. 1 sentence 3 BattG, the refund of the deposit when returning the used vehicle battery is dependent on the return of the deposit mark.
 
The place of return is the address listed in the imprint.
 
A return of the old battery by mail is not permitted due to the hazardous goods ordinance.
 
Alternatively, used vehicle batteries can also be handed in free of charge at reusable material and recycling centres. The deposit collected by us is paid by the public - legal recyclables and
recycling centres are not refundable. However, you have the option of having the return of the used vehicle battery acknowledged on the deposit stamp. You will receive the battery deposit back from us on presentation of the receipted deposit stamp.
